Swain Family Care welcomes physician assistant Vicki McCormack

Bryson City, N.C. – Swain Family Care is pleased to welcome certified physician assistant Vicki McCormack who will begin seeing patients in mid-March joining Tammy Johnston, MD, David Johnston, MD, pediatrician Brooke Budde, DO, and certified physician assistant Danny Mingus. McCormack most recently practiced at the Swain Pain Center at Swain Community Hospital.

McCormack graduated from the physician assistant program at Butler University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences in Indianapolis, Ind., completing rotations of study in primary care, emergency medicine, general surgery, neonatology, cardiology, and orthopaedics. Her medical experience includes working as an emergency medical technician and a laboratory technician prior to obtaining her physician assistant training. She holds a minor degree in psychology from Butler University.  Before moving to Bryson City in 2014, McCormack practiced in specialty and primary care settings in eastern North Carolina.
