Harris Regional Hospital is pleased to welcome Tiffany Deitz, FNP, to its medical staff. Deitz is seeing patients at Harris Pain Center, where she joins the hospital’s interventional pain management team in providing individualized care for patients experiencing chronic and complex pain.
Harris Pain Center is located at 81 Medical Park Loop, Suite 202, in Sylva. The interventional pain management team also provides care at Swain Pain Center in Bryson City and Haywood Pain Center in Clyde, helping patients across western North Carolina access specialized pain care closer to home.
A western North Carolina native, Deitz has longstanding ties to Harris Regional Hospital and the communities it serves. She has worked within the local hospital system for several years and previously served as director of Harris Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center.
Deitz earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University and her Master of Science in Nursing through the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Carson-Newman University. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Montreat College.
Deitz was drawn to advanced practice nursing by the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients and take a more active role in helping them navigate their health. She values listening closely to patients and providing care rooted in compassion, empathy, and thoughtful clinical decision-making.
At Harris Pain Center, Deitz works alongside Austin Albright, MD and the interventional pain team to care for patients with a variety of pain conditions. Treatment plans are individualized based on each patient’s needs and may incorporate medication management, interventional procedures, and other approaches designed to improve function and quality of life.
“We are pleased to welcome Tiffany to the medical staff at Harris Regional Hospital and to have her continue serving patients in our community in this new role,” said Ashley Hindman, chief executive officer of Harris Regional Hospital. “Her familiarity with our patients and our region, combined with her years of clinical experience, will be a tremendous asset to our interventional pain program.”
Beyond her clinical work, Deitz is actively involved in her community and has been recognized numerous times for the compassion and empathy she brings to patient care, including eight nominations for the DAISY Award for extraordinary nursing. She is known by patients for taking time to listen, building trusting relationships and providing thoughtful, high-quality care. A local mom as well as a longtime health care professional, Deitz brings a deeply personal connection to the community she serves.
