Harris Regional Hospital is pleased to announce that Dr. Todd Davis, a family practice physician, will begin seeing patients at Harris Family Care – Cullowhee located in Western Carolina University’s Health and Human Sciences Building, 4121 Little Savannah Road, on December 4. Dr. Davis joins nurse practitioner Emily Jenkins in the practice.
Harris Family Care – Cullowhee opened in 2013 upon completion of the university’s 160,000 sq. ft. College of Health and Human Sciences Building which houses undergraduate and graduate programs related to various healthcare disciplines. Harris Family Care - Cullowhee serves as a primary care practice for families, adults and children, in western North Carolina and is part of the system of specialists and subspecialists at Harris Regional Hospital.
The clinic is open to the community at-large and accepts walk-in visits but also accepts scheduled appointments for yearly preventive care check-ups, vaccinations, sports physicals and routine visits.
"As we deliver on our mission of Making Communities Healthier it is important for us to serve people where they live. We are privileged to care for the Cullowhee and Tuckasegee communities, and southern Jackson County, and having the combination of Dr. Davis and Emily Jenkins will make healthcare more accessible for this vibrant part of western North Carolina,” said Steve Heatherly, CEO of Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital.
Dr. Davis has practiced at Harris Family Care – Franklin for more than 20 years, taking care of those living in Macon County and North Georgia. Dr. Anthony Esterwood, Dr. Ewa Susfal, Dr. Clayton Davis, and nurse practitioner Tonya Martinez remain at Harris Family Care – Franklin.
