Harris Regional and Swain Community Hospitals to Offer Free Lunch to Veterans on Veterans Day

Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital are proud to recognize Veterans Day by inviting veterans from throughout the community, including hospital employees, to enjoy a complimentary lunch on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.
Veterans are welcome to visit either hospital cafeteria between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to receive a free meal with presentation of a military ID.
Cafeteria locations and access information include:
- Harris Regional Hospital (Sylva): The cafeteria is located on the first floor. Guests may enter through the hospital's main entrance, turn left at the front desk, and follow the hallway and posted signs to the cafeteria.
- Swain Community Hospital (Bryson City): The cafeteria is located on the bottom floor of the hospital. Guests may enter through the hospital’s main entrance and take the elevator to the first floor.
Both hospitals are honored to recognize the many veterans who serve as members of their healthcare teams and those who call the surrounding communities home. This Veterans Day initiative reflects their shared gratitude for the service, sacrifice and dedication of our nation's veterans while providing an opportunity to welcome and thank them in person.
