September 6, 2019

Harris Regional Hospital is pleased to welcome Anne Fulbright, a certified physician assistant, to Harris Cardiology located on the second floor of Harris Regional Hospital, 68 Hospital Road in Sylva. Fulbright will join Frederick Dressler, MD and Scott Westermeyer, MD in providing cardiology care to the region.

Fulbright received a Master of Medical Science, physician assistant studies, from Methodist University after obtaining a master’s degree from Duke University which focused on health policy and medicine. Fulbright has practiced in both the inpatient and outpatient settings at cardiology practices and hospitals in Jackson, Tenn., and Chapel Hill and Durham, having most recently practiced in Asheville.

“I am fortunate to be a part of Harris Cardiology and Duke LifePoint because of the excellence, latest technologies, safety and quality, as well as the focus on good patient relationships. My practice philosophy entails getting to know patients and what is important to them. I have a special interest in prevention and I do my best to explain things. We develop a plan together, including lifestyle, and I love seeing patients get healthier,” said Fulbright.

“We are excited to welcome Anne to Harris Cardiology. The practice has grown over the last three years, giving us the privilege of caring for the region at a location close to home with advanced, compassionate care,” said Steve Heatherly, CEO of Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital. “Anne’s arrival coincides with our planned expansion of cardiology services to include interventional procedures at Harris this fall.”
