SYLVA and BRYSON CITY – Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital are pleased to welcome Crystal Gordon as Chief Nursing Officer, serving as the hospitals’ executive level nurse leader. In the role, Gordon is responsible for all aspects of nursing leadership to ensure the highest quality care in the safest environment.
Gordon most recently served as Chief Nursing Officer for the Lutheran Health Network-St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind. In addition to extensive clinical practice at the bedside, Gordon’s experience includes a distinctive focus on the patient experience which serves as a guiding principle for staff of Harris Regional Hospital, Swain Community Hospital, and their ancillary services and physician practices serving Jackson, Swain, Macon, and Graham counties and the surrounding region.

Gordon is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Capella University and holds both a Master of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University.
