Harris Regional Hospital is pleased to welcome board-certified family nurse practitioner Lindsay Mason, FNP-BC to its medical staff. Mason will begin seeing patients on August 1 at Harris Pediatric Care, located at 98 Doctors Drive, Suite 300 in Sylva. 

A Jackson County native, Mason brings a decade of nursing experience to her role, including expertise in geriatric care, infection prevention, nurse management, and pediatric care. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Carson-Newman University, following a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Southwestern Community College. 

Mason’s background includes advanced clinical training in adult, pediatric, and women’s health, and she most recently served patients in urgent care and family practice settings. Her approach is rooted in team-based, goal-oriented care, with a focus on wellness and prevention.

A lifelong resident of western North Carolina, Mason said she is honored to live and work in the community that raised her. 

“It’s a privilege to care for the families and neighbors who have supported me throughout my life,” she said. 

When she’s not seeing patients, Mason enjoys traveling with her family, exploring national parks, and collecting Disney memorabilia. She also enjoys reading, especially historical fiction. 

Mason joins an established team of providers at Harris Pediatric Care, including Carmen Nations, MD, Margaret White, MD, Brooke Budde, DO, Natalie Steinbicker, PA, and Brittany Rogers, FNP-C.
