Harris Regional Hospital welcomes Brian Hass, PA-C to Harris Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine; celebrates exclusive agreement with Western Carolina University Athletics

SYLVAHarris Regional Hospital is pleased to welcome certified physician assistant Brian Hass to Harris Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. Hass joins Lawrence Supik, MD, Ryan Slechta, MD, Douglas Gates, MD, Jud Handley, MD, Anthony McPherron, DO, and Alexis Willey, PA-C at the practice which is located on the second floor of Harris Regional Hospital. Hass completed his physician assistant training with a Master of Science from Bethel University after graduating from Western Carolina University. Most recently he has practiced as a surgical physician assistant in Murphy.

Hass’s arrival coincides with the first anniversary of the launch of The Ascent Partnership exclusive athletics agreement between Harris Regional Hospital/Swain Community Hospital and Western Carolina University. In the agreement the hospitals became the exclusive healthcare provider for Catamount Athletics, covering all sports, athletes, and seasons. The hospitals’ support for Catamount Athletics includes athletic training and game coverage for WCU athletes, clinical rotations for physical therapy and sports medicine students, and exclusive corporate sponsorship support.
