Dr. David S. Thomas was graduated from Emory University School of Medicine in 1978. After training in Internal Medicine, he served as Chief Medical Resident and Instructor of Medicine at Crawford Long Hospital (now Emory Midtown) of Emory University in Atlanta. Following training in Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology at Georgetown University, he served five years as a Radiation Medicine faculty member at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

He has provided radiation oncology care in Sylva for over 21 years. He holds lifetime board certifications in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Radiation Oncology. His goal is to provide the most appropriate care plan for each patient and to ensure high-quality care is delivered daily to every patient.
