Meet Your Hospitalist
When your physician admits you to the hospital, he or she may call on a hospitalist to manage your stay. Hospitalists are highly trained internal medicine or family practice doctors and nurse practitioners. They do not have regular offices because they only see patients in the hospital. This allows your physician to continue to care for patients in the office practice while a colleague specializing in inpatient care sees you in the hospital. The hospitalist and your primary care physician are in close contact during your stay.
To speak to the hospitalist RN, dial 828.586.7428
